When I was babysitting Lucy, age 3 a couple nights ago she said she had a secret to tell me. She got up close to my ear with hand cupped and whispered, "I wuv you." My heart, my heart..... be still, my heart.
Then Saturday I was there and she asked me why I had a bracelet on my leg. I told her it was an ankle bracelet. She asked me why I wore it there and I told her I thought it was pretty. Then she said "I would not wear one." Then she said, "It would be too tight for my leg." Which makes sense if you figure it is a bracelet for your wrist that is on your ankle. I explained it was an ankle bracelet made to fit on your ankle, bigger than one for your wrist, and that I got it in Mexico. (Maybe that would explain it somehow?) Lucy is very direct, you never have to wonder how she is feeling or what she thinks.
She has an invisible friend Journey whom she has had for a long time.
She changes her princess dresses several times a day. They have to match the Princess movie she is watching. And of course she knows the song for each princess.
I took her, her mom, her dad and brothers to the airport today in their SUV and will pick them up on the 3rd. They are going to "Dizzleyland." (Lucyspeak for Disneyland)

ECLIPSE Trailer
Okay, the hype for Eclipse is officially on. The trailer is being shown in theatres as well as on my favorite Twilight sites. Check it out!
Oh, and my hair has been in flux for weeks, now more reddish than I like. But can always be corrected.
I am not yet attached to anyone on American Idol this season. Some good singers but no one jumps out to claim the stage like Adam Lambert did last year who should have won in my opinion. But winning does not necessarily mean a successful career. Some of the more successful ones, like Daughtry and even Adam Lambert, have been very successful. It is down to 12 now I think. For the first time two weeks have gone by without my voting once. Maybe as it gets narrowed down I will, they all seem to get better each week.
I will be watching.

The Bachelor done, odd bachelor, odd choice but who knows? And he will be on Dancing With the Stars. Oh, yeah, it's on again too. Maybe the Bachelor can dance? My money (10 cents) is on Evan Lysecek (sp) and Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls. But it hasn't even started so again, who knows.
I will be watching.

Gone Brown.... after 24 yrs blonde
My first blog in a while. I guess mostly I spend my time playing Facebook games, Mafia Wars, Vampire Wars and Castle Age. My ex Fred (we were married about 35 yrs ago) plays too and we chat a bit during games. Anyway, I am living in Shoreline now, a senior apartment community. So I am learning my way to the library, the Top Foods, the mall and theatre in Northgate and Alderwood.
But the major thing is after 24 yrs I have gone back to brown. I am okay with the color I chose but may infuse a bit of auburn into it. I find I need different makeup and colors in my wardrobe. Darker, brighter with both pretty much.
The other huge thing is Max has let me into the Circle of Trust. He used to cry when I held him, cry when his mom left the room and cry when i picked him up. Cried for an hour solid once while his mom was gone. We are definitely good now and I worked very hard to get into that Circle. I basically just spent more time with him and played with him more. I am a pretty dang good grandma if I do say so myself. Pat pat.

Twilight Fever for a TwiGran
For the first time in a loooong time (I think last time was in 1976 to see Rocky Horror Picture Show) I went to a midnight movie. It was quite an experience. I bought the ticket earlier in the day to the midnight showing and two for the next day with my friend Marianne who had never read the books but had seen the first movie, Twilight.
I had also accidentally bought a ticket online for Twilight showing at 9pm. I thought I was buying one for New Moon at the time, since I have seen Twilight 8 times or so and have the DVD, and didn't need to see it again. But I was so glad I had that ticket. It allowed me to go into the theatre and see Twilight again on the big screen and keep my seat for the showing of New Moon while others waited outside to get in.
I laughed as the girls screamed and giggled all through the movie. When Edward first appeared all the girls screamed. When Taylor took off his shirt to wipe blood from Bella's forehead they screamed again. It was constant and funny and a bit annoying. But I was so glad I went. After the movie so many fans coming out of all the theatres simultaneously from all the showings in that Cinema was impressive. And it was after 2am and we were all up to see this movie the second it opened. I loved it and will see it again today. It has already been clocked at 72million for the first day, Friday which includes the midnight showing at 12:01 on Friday, eclipsing the Dark Knight and the Harry Potter movies making it the biggest opening ever!
Yes, an obsessed fan, can't wait now for the third installment, Eclipse, which has already completed filming and I expect with the new year coming we will all begin the fever pitch of expectation with it as well. The trailers will begin, the fan sites will give us every detail of its being made. And we will all flock to the theatres again the second it opens in June of 2010.
I may have been the oldest person there but I didn't notice. And I didn't and don't care. We love us some Edward and everyone can relate to passion. Bring it on again! And again!
