Bachelor Dilema

So who woulda thunk the Bachelor would end up as it did? I guess the real question is why it hasn't happened before. It makes you wonder how many other Bachelors and Bachelorettes have regretted their decision by the time they go to the After the Final Rose filming and don't say anything about it, just let it go and break up with the person months later. They all seem to break up in a matter of months. It seems real life is not having dates in helicopters or yachts or going to New Zealand. It seems when these couples get into the real world of just hanging out together the reality of who they really are and how they actually relate to each other on a daily basis shows them to be incompatible. It makes it seem truly miraculous that any couple ever makes it together.

Good luck to Jason and Molly!

Aniston says no Villans

I found this fromi Jennifer Aniston about her marriage to Brad Pitt that ended four years ago:

Jennifer Aniston can’t seem to escape questions about her marriage to Brad Pitt. It’s been almost four years since Aniston and Pitt split, and the actress continues to set the record straight on her past marriage.
“No matter what I say, things will always be taken out of context and misinterpreted, will always be turned around to make it seem as though I won’t let something go, or that I just keep talking about it over and over,” Aniston said, prefacing her comments about her 2005 split with Pitt, during a new interview in the April issue of Elle UK.
“I don’t owe anybody anything. I don’t owe anybody my side of the story. There are no sides!” Aniston explained. “There is no bad guy and there is no good guy. There are no villains and there is no heroine in this story. It’s just not the case.”

I thought it was interesting because so many keep her divorce alive, taking sides between J Aniston and B Pitt or worse yet Angelina Jolie. I say let them all move forward, which they seem to be doing, in spite of all the Celeb mags trying to keep this non-war alive.

The Bachelor Finale

Friday night it snowed here again. One last snow. I hope. It is still on the ground but is supposed to warm up to 72 or so by Thursday. This is good since I am leaving Sunday for Seattle. Right now it is very cold. Did you think Seattle had up-and-down weather? Kansas City is a good contender.

I am so excited to see the Bachelor tonight. I am sure it will be Melissa whom he proposes to. I cannot see Molly with him at all. I guess the excitement is to see the Deanna wrench they are going to throw into the works and how that all goes down. I think that is a really bad nasty they are doing to sweet Jason. I think they are doing it for ratings, not for him. Obviously

Idol Season 8 Faves

I already have my faves for American Idol. One didn't make it last week and one from this week didn't make it but the judges may get them in during the Wild Card selection they get in a couple of weeks. Danny Gokey was an early favorite. And Adam has become a huge favorite too. He is ready to make CDs right now. I like Megan, the blonde who did her little twisty thing this week but didn't make it in the top three. I really felt that the women outsang the men this week and that there would be two women and one guy chosen. Instead they selected two guys and one girl. At least the girl was Alison, the red haired girl with the black dress. She is very good.

I do think it will be between Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert. The Alison chick may be a contender too. It will be so fun to watch them grow over the weeks.

Best Actor indeed

Every time I see Sean Penn in a movie I wonder how anyone can be better than he is. He absolutely loses himself in any role he takes on. And that allows us, the audience, to lose ourselves in the character and the movie itself. You forget he is Sean Penn.

Today I saw the one movie I had not seen before the Awards ceremony, Milk. But having seen Mr. Penn before I was not at all surprised he won the Oscar for best actor in a leading role. Today I was once again impressed and very emotionally affected by his portrayal of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay man elected to government office in the country, in this case San Francisco. He was shot dead in City Hall by an opponent Dan White, played by Josh Brolin. This was about access to civil rights for all. He fought for rights for everyone, so people cannot be fired or excluded from certain jobs or from renting or buying homes. The sad thing is I look around 35 years or so later and there are still those who want to prevent equal rights for everyone. California just passed a proposition to ban gay marriage. That to me is a right that should be granted to all. It amazes me that 35 years later we have not come so far in this area.
